Privacy Policy
Last updated September 6, 2026
Team Up Homes operates this website and related account tools. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have. It applies to the Service and any related account tools. By using the Service you acknowledge this policy. Capitalized ideas that also appear in our Terms of Use have the same meaning here.
1. Information we collect
We collect information in three ways: you give it to us, we gather it automatically, and we may look up public property facts to speed onboarding.
You provide
- Name, email, mobile number, and password
- Role (homeowner or provider) and marketing or SMS preferences
- Service address, city, state, ZIP, and notes about the property
- Optional access instructions (gate codes, lock boxes) and pet notes, only when you choose to share them so a crew can complete a visit
- Photos you or a provider upload to show work before or after a job
- Payment details when a processor such as Stripe collects them — we do not store full card numbers
Collected automatically
Device and browser data, IP address, pages viewed, and approximate location derived from those signals. We use cookies and similar tools to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and understand which pages are useful. You can control cookies in your browser; turning them off may break sign-in.
Public and map data
We may pre-fill lot size or similar facts from public appraisal records or mapping tools so you do not have to type everything. You can correct those fields. We do not sell that data for advertising.
2. How we use information
- Create and secure your account
- Match you with a group deal and a provider in your area
- Send scheduling, reminder, and account messages you requested
- Process payments through a third-party processor when a deal uses one
- Improve the Service, fix bugs, and prevent abuse
- Honor referral tracking when you arrive through a partner link
- Comply with law and enforce our Terms
We do not sell your personal information for money. If we ever use data for cross-context advertising, we will give you a way to opt out.
SMS is used for visit timing and deal updates when you opt in. Consent for marketing texts is separate from booking. Reply STOP to leave the list.
3. How we share information
Providers and homeowners. When you join a deal, we share what the crew needs: your name, phone, address, and any notes or access details you entered. Providers may use that information only to perform the job and must not keep access codes longer than needed unless you ask them to for a recurring visit.
Service vendors. We use companies that host the site, send email or texts, process cards, provide maps, or measure traffic. They receive only what they need to do that work.
Partners and legal. A realtor or HOA who referred you may see that a signup completed through their link, not your full job file. We may disclose information if the law requires it, to protect people from harm, or if Team Up Homes is sold and the buyer continues the Service — we will notify you if that transfer changes how your data is handled.
4. Retention
Account data stays while your account is open and for a limited period afterward so we can close books, handle disputes, and meet legal duties. Job photos used for quality checks are kept only as long as they are useful for that purpose. Access codes should be deleted or rotated shortly after a one-time visit. Analytics logs are kept on a rolling schedule and then deleted or aggregated.
You may ask us to delete personal data we hold. We may retain what the law requires (for example tax or fraud records).
5. Payments
Card numbers are entered on the payment processor's forms. We may receive limited metadata such as the last four digits or a transaction id. The processor's privacy policy governs how it handles full payment credentials.
6. Security and international users
We use HTTPS, access controls, and least-privilege practices. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects you, we will notify you and regulators as the law requires. If you use Team Up Homes from outside the United States, you understand we process information in the United States.
7. Children
Team Up Homes is for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child created an account, contact us and we will delete it.
8. Your choices
- Ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Ask us to correct or delete that data
- Turn off marketing email or SMS
- Adjust cookie settings in your browser
Send requests through the support options on this site. We will verify that the request comes from you before we change or delete an account. Authorized agents may write on your behalf with proof of authority. Some state privacy laws also let you appeal a denial; say that you are appealing when you write back.
9. Other sites
Links to providers, maps, or payment pages leave our control. Their privacy practices are their own. Read those policies before you share information there.
10. Changes and contact
We may update this policy by posting a new version here. For changes that reduce your privacy rights we will give extra notice when we have an email on file. Privacy questions can be sent through the support options published on the Team Up Homes site. Disputes about this policy follow the dispute process in the Terms of Use.
